The journey began with a bold vision from our founder, Matt Davis: to revolutionise the UK dessert scene. With a passion for innovation and a commitment to using only the finest ingredients, Matt and his talented team worked hard to craft unique recipes that stay ahead of trends and deliver the best possible treats.

It all started at a small market stall in Leigh, where we first shared our delicious creations with the local community. The response was overwhelming, and by May 2018, we opened our first store in Leigh-on-Sea, Essex. The popularity of our irresistible cookies, creamy ice cream, and more was immediate – so much so that we outgrew our first store in less than a year!

On 22nd June 2019, we opened our flagship store on Leigh-on-Sea’s Broadway, a larger, better space to showcase the full Cookies and Cones range. This store became the heart of our brand and the perfect place for customers to indulge in our signature treats.

Our continued growth led to incredible milestones, such as being named one of the Top 5 Takeaways in the South East of England at the Just Eat British Takeaway Awards 2021 on 27th May 2021. This recognition was a huge honour and a testament to the dedication and passion we put into every order.

In July 2022, we took a bold step into new territory by launching our first sites within the global fashion retailer Primark. You can now find us at Primark stores in Charlton and Bromley, bringing Cookies and Cones irresistible baked treats to even more people across the UK.

In 2023, we were thrilled to win the Just Eat Restaurant Awards 2023 – Best Takeaway in the South East, an achievement that reflects our commitment to quality and exceptional service.

Finally, in October 2024, we unveiled a full rebrand into Crave Bakery, marking a new chapter in our journey. With a fresh new identity, we’re more dedicated than ever to delivering the finest baked goods, award-winning coffee, and a memorable experience for every customer.

From our humble beginnings at Leigh Bootsale to becoming an award-winning brand with locations across the UK, Crave Bakery and Coffeehouse is just getting started. We’re grateful for every step of the journey and can’t wait to share even more sweet moments with you!
